Bio

James Hogan is known by many as a "world class" guitarist. He is an artist who is regarded highly by his peers, and is in constant demand as a touring sideman, studio musician, and producer. Hogan is admired world wide for his musicality, his soulfulness, and his rare ability to play authentically in virtually any style of music. This versatility is evident on Hogan’s top-selling instrumental album entitled TRUE DIVERSITY.

In addition to a successful music career, James is also a fine music teacher. James is a senior instructor at The National Guitar Workshop's Mc Clean, VA and SUNY Purchase, NY campuses. James Hogan is also the guitar instructor at Florida State College in Jacksonville, FL where he has been on staff since 2000. James Hogan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance from the highly acclaimed University Of North Florida jazz program, where he was a collegiate Downbeat Award winner, and student of jazz guitar virtuoso Barry Greene. James periodically offers private guitar instruction to students in the Jacksonville, Fl area.
